As you may know (or not in which case you will soon learn) I have spent the long weekend in Missouri helping my brother-in-law move & clean up the old house. It has been a most bittersweet time as the circumstances for moving are not happy but we always have a good time hanging out. [...] I’m taking the lazy way & posting a bunch of pics rather than write. I’m too tired right now to string very many words together. Enjoy the pics! The other day I got a friend request on facebook…now this rarely happens as I’m pretty much friends with people I know already. Of course the bulk of those are my family–Mom, siblings, inlaws & a few aunts and cousins thrown in for good measure. I also connect with some friends from college which is [...] Mom called me tonight with a bit of poetic circumstance…apparently my hometown area is under a severe weather warning–specifically a tornado warning. Now unless you are VERY familiar with my life this statement will seem quite random. Allow me to elucidate. On a hot, muggy June morning in 1993 I woke up & went [...] Tomorrow June 8th will mark one year of being without a dear friend. It’s been a long year…and it was filled with the deepest sorrow & the greatest joy. I’m reflecting & wondering if I’ve taken anything with me over this last year. Have I “learned” anything?
