This weekend (Oct 8 & 9) was mostly quiet though we did go out both days. Let me back up & talk about our week.

Abe had to finish up some work in Dickinson, ND this past week (Oct 3-7) which meant leaving me & the kids on our own. I decided pretty quickly that I wasn’t quite ready to do it all on my own 24/7 so I talked Mom into “letting” us stay for as long as I needed. (I admitted I needed help; I must be growing up….)

Bright & early Monday I was awakened by the dogs barking at the Fed-Ex man. He was about to leave a note when I pelted down to the front door. Dressed in a long sleeved tshirt, no glasses (or pants), barely conscious I managed to take delivery of my replacement phone. Were I looking more fetching I’m sure me, answering the door sans pants, would have been the Fed-Ex guy’s favorite stop of the day…

Anyway, I managed to pack everything the three of us would need for a week, take a shower & get both kids ready and in the car by just a after 1. A fairly quick stop at Verizon to get the new phone activated and we were on our way to the farm. Magnus was very excited to see Grandma B & I was happy to let him chase after Grandma. It was a really good week & things went very smoothly. Magnus only had one night where he decided to have a screaming fit at O’dark-thirty. We spent one afternoon in Tyler playing with the cousins & Auntie Jenn took some photos of Marit. We also got to spend time with Auntie Zia & cousin JaZiah.

Magnus was working on his walking while we were at the farm. He will take one or two steps on his own when he wants to but simply refuses to just let go and really go for it. (yeah, don’t we all have that problem with so many different things in life?!) Magnus also worked on his words…he doesn’t speak English but rather he has a language all his own. He babbles non-stop but I’m the only one who really understands a lot of it. He will say a few words: dog, cup, juice, Momma & his big favorite is “Wow”. He has two kinds of wow. The first is just a plain spoken “wow” in a normal tone of voice. The second is the one that means he is really impressed with something. His little mouth forms a perfect “O’, his voice drops to a whisper & he says, “Woooow”. There’s almost a hint of “wh” in it and his eyes get really big, eyebrows arched super high. It is the funniest thing & so fun to see Magnus delight in discovering his world.

Anyway, Friday we saw Auntie Beth & then headed for home. I called Abe to see where he was only to find out he had arrived home about 4:30 AM. Here I had thought he was driving back from ND and he was already home. The kids & I hurried home & Magnus was beyond excited to see Daddy.

Saturday we bummed around town & visited a few shops because it was gorgeous outside so we took a stroll through downtown Sioux Falls. We also met up with my brother & his family at a local orchard where there was a harvest festival. Magnus wasn’t too keen on getting his photo taken with a pumpkin but I did manage to snap a couple of Marit.

After a little time in the pumpkin patch we walked over to the main event area. There were more places to take photos (hay bales, pumpkins etc… we didn’t avail ourselves of them though as none of us were dressed for proper photos), a general store, food vendors, pony rides, bouncy castles & a petty zoo. The pony rides were too expensive & Magnus is still a bit young, the bouncy castles were serious trauma waiting to happen so into the petting zoo area we went. Magnus wasn’t very impressed with the goats or donkeys but he LOVED the little chickens. I don’t know exactly what kind they were but I know they were a bantam breed. Very cute little gray speckled chickens with bright red combs…Abe & Magnus got down close to the fence & watched the chickens pecking in the dirt. Magnus was full of chatter about the little chickens & he kept pointing to their pen as he talked about them. We kept going back to the pen because he didn’t want to say goodbye.

Sunday we went watched the Vikings lose (again) before going out again & to run errands in the afternoon. We did the basic Target/Wal-mart/Hy-vee run. After that we decided to meet up with my brother Rob & his family for dinner. After much texting back & forth we decided to try the new hibachi/sushi place that recently opened.

Tokoyo Sushi & Hibachi is a nice casual restaurant & is fairly kid friendly. The food was fantastic! Easily the best fried rice in town. I am looking forward to saving our pennies & trying some of the more spendy items on the menu (lobster, shrimp, maybe even the squid if I’m feeling brave).

Anyway, Magnus was in awe from the second the chef created his trademark fireball. Magnus immediately began to clap & the “Woooow!” in full sotto voce was heard about 1000 times. The more the chef showed off his skills with the spatula & fork the more Magnus clapped & bounced on my lap. His cousin, Grayson, was equally impressed & kept waving his hands in the air like he was starting “the wave” at a sporting event. I’m pretty sure that no matter how long that chef cooks he will never find a more appreciative audience than our boys were that night. Magnus thoroughly enjoyed the fried rice & chicken as well as the taste of shrimp tempura. These were jumbo shrimp & I had to fight for my share as Magnus wasn’t keen on sharing.

All in all it was a fun night out & made even better by having Magnus along.

I am getting closer to my due date & frankly I’m a little freaked out! I can’t imagine how I’m going to deal with 2 kids within 15 months of each other. Magnus is a busy little boy & I know things will only get busier when he finally decides that our stairs must be conquered. However, this isn’t about how stressed I feel when I allow my brain to think about September 23rd.

Last year when Magnus was born he was in the middle of a group of kids on my side of the family. We had four babies in 2 months…talk about busy! Anyway, what with everybody else being pregnant & me being on bed rest I never got to <del>enjoy</del> experience a baby shower. (My lovely, awesome, gorgeous friends Tish & Nic on Twitter did throw me a shower there which was fun & a total surprise.)

This time the idea of a shower got bandied about several times but nothing specific was ever really said to me. I let it pass after mentioning that I would like one but that was about it. It wasn’t something I was going to force anybody to do & I feel awkward in those situations anyway. While I enjoy a good party I REALLY don’t like them to be about me.

Anyway, it seems some of my family got it into their heads that a surprise shower was the way to go…so they set the wheels in motion for an August shower. Apparently the plan originated before the July 4th weekend ‘cuz my lovely husband was busy whispering in ears during our trip to the Cities. I haven’t yet dealt with Abe on his part in the whole scheme…but I will…he knows how much I hateloatheabhorr surprises.

As it goes I was unsuspecting until a couple weeks before the event. Then my suspicions were aroused a mite when one sister-in-law suddenly had a lot of questions regarding decorating the nursery, what we were hoping to have ready when the baby arrives etc. The matter was dropped & I pushed it to the back of my mind. After all I had a sick baby, an unborn baby & a heat wave with which to contend.

However, the cat came screaming, hissing & scratching out of the bag the week before the shower…I won’t reveal how I found out…in fact I pretended ignorance of the whole affair & acted out my part of the surprised (and pissed about being surprised) mommy-to-be. We had a good time & I am so thankful to have such amazing sisters-in-law & other family that went to so much work. I am so blessed to see how much love our little girl already has & how excited everyone is to meet her next month.

Magnus has been battling bug after bug this is month. We have been out and about a lot since the July 4th weekend & he has paid the price.

First we got the pleasure of rotavirus. Nothing like a week for the nastiest, poopiest diapers to make me wish I could let Magnus run bare through the yard all day & hose him off at night. Just as the rotavirus disappeared we saw a runny nose start. This lasted a couple days; then appeared to go away. Unfortunately it came back with a vengence… Runny nose, cough and general crankiness has ensued. In the meantime a new tooth has appeared.

After a couple days where Magnus appeared to be getting better, the goopy eye appeared. I gave it a couple days but there was no improvement so today began with a trip to acute care.

Magnus is a trooper and was so good with all the stethoscopes & ear probes that he more than earned a special treat. We decided that some alphabet blocks would be perfect. Magnus loves anything that can be stacked (and then knocked over) plus we already like to practice singing our alphabet…. Well I sing, Magnus just bobs along with the music. Still there is no such thing as starting too early (provided there isn’t crazy pressure to be a wunderkind).

Anyway, we purchased the blocks & as I prepared to open them I took a closer look at the description on the packaging. Imagine my surprise when I realized there are only 20 letters in the set.

That’s right folks, apparently nobody is smart enough to figure out how to squeeze in the last 6 letters of the alphabet. That means after “T” your kids are plain out of luck when using this nifty little alphabet blocks set. Seriously, I don’t see how there isn’t some sort of disclaimer on the package. At the very least it should say: “Warning: Partial alphabet, not really good for learning.” I can’t even use these blocks to spell my kid’s name! Not only am I missing a letter from his first name but I can’t spell his middle name either because there’s a letter missing from that as well. Good grief!

After opening the package I was confronted by the following…

Can you spot the problem with this partial alphabet? It’s bad enough that they can’t manage to get all 26 letters of our alphabet into a single set (I wonder where the letters U-Z end up? Isn’t this discrimination?? I’m writing my congresspersons…certainly this is racisim. I mean how dare these toy people leave out U, V, W, X, Y & Z?? It’s ridiculous! Who is to say that the other letters are more important & worthy than the final 6 letter?? Hey we can even hold a rally & chant. ”Free the Final 6” or “We want the Final 6”). Apparently the person (or machine) that places all these blocks isn’t smart enough to know that “M” comes before “N” & that “Q” is facing the wrong way. Certainly if all the blocks were random I wouldn’t deign to comment, but since every letter but two are in the proper order & direction (not to mention the sudden breaking of the color pattern) why not get them all the right way? Seems silly to disrespect “Q” by removing it from it’s proper place & directional orientation. Of course maybe the goal was to send a subliminal message to all children playing with this set of blocks… I mean if you look carefully at the bottom row it clearly states that “Mrs” is the goal of life. Either to become one or to have one. Certainly no toy manufacturer really thinks they can coerce our children into such traditional roles. That’s ridiculous & frankly insulting… I mean, seriously, the gender typified role of being a married woman is archaic at best?!? (For those of you just joining in: I am a stay-at-home, married mother of two.)

Maybe this is all just so much tempest in a teapot? Could it be that I’m jumping to wild conclusions based on nothing more than conjecture, crazy theories & a desire to find scandal where none exists?? Surely it isn’t that…

On a serious note though: I do wish that all the letters were included. It is a rather half-assed thing to present the alphabet missing any of the letters. My son is just a year old, where else on his path to learning will I find gaping holes in the fundamentals that he should be learning?

First a warning: if you are not a parent, don’t wish to be a parent, or just generally don’t like children this post is NOT for you. This post will contain graphic language & description of what can only be described as the single most disgusting moment of my life.

As you may remember from previous posts, I am a farm girl. This means I have helped pull piglets (I was about 3 years old so I don’t have a very clear memory of it.) from the sow; watched cattle be dehorned & banded and seen dead, bloated animals scooped into the rendering truck. None of that compares with the mucus incident.

I was slightly propped up in bed, Magnus was snuggled close with his head on my chest. We were dozing in the quiet of the morning when Magnus started to cough a bit. Soon his cough escalated into a great heaving & gagging.

Suddenly I find myself covered in long, green ropes of mucus. Magnus has been congested and his little lungs decided they needed a purge. There aren’t words to describe the warm slimy feeling of all that junk oozing across my chest, down over the back of my shoulders & into my hair…As I ran for the shower (crying Magnus in tow) the muck continued to slither down toward the small of my back.

It took a long time under hot water, several applications of shampoo, and a lot of dancing around exclaiming “Ew, ew, ew,… Gross, gross, gross ” before I was able to declare myself slime free.

Even thinking about it now makes me feel slightly disgusted. Oh the joys of parenthood…

Over the weekend I was informed by my sister-in-law that my blog had been hacked. Not the best gtalk message to receive as my pillow was getting fluffed just right on Saturday night.

Off I went to my desktop pc and logged into my webhosting site where I contacted the live support person. They immediately directed me to submit a help ticket request to the tech support center.

I submitted the help request, changed my password for the blog site and headed back to bed. Of course my brain was on overload at this point so I was rather wide awake. I went to check my blog from my phone (from whence I am composing this missive) only to find that it had been hijacked yet again. By now I was really pissed off.

Abe was awake and we were talking about what a hassle the whole thing was and how silly that I had gotten hacked. I started to think of all the websites out there on the interwebz my little blog got hacked. I mentioned how it was nearly worthy of a “REALLY?!?!?!?” segment a la Weekend Update. Abe laughed and told me I had my next blog post…so without further ado here it is.

The following text was basically what appeared on my blog. It was white text on a black background & there was a stylized skull and crossbones in the center of the page.

{#} Team [redacted Middle Eastern Country] hacker{#}
{#}The [redacted] hack{#}
This What We Do Hacking all The Time
Just open your eyes you fucked
Team [redacted Middle Eastern Country] hacker We Never Play
See ya

Really? That’s the scariest language you’ve got? I mean really…you *never* play? That just sounds boring. And you “do hacking” all the time? Really? So you don’t take time to eat or sleep or go to the bathroom? I suppose that guarantees you don’t shower… And really?? You manage to hack my blog…my teeny little onlyhasonereader (my cousin…okay, two readers since my sis-in-law noticed the hack) blog. Wow, what an accomplishment! I mean really…all the other hackers will be so impressed. You managed to disable what could be the most insignificant site in all the interwebz. Oh wait, was this your “jumping in” to the hacker world? That would make slightly more sense. Seriously though I doubt it would give you much street cred…really, I wish you luck in your quest to be taken seriously in the hacker world. Really.

As of now everything is restored (obviously as you’re reading it) and not too badly for wear. We now return you to your regularly scheduled prattle.

My brother R turned 27 this week. To celebrate, his wife invited a bunch of his friends & siblings to go out to dinner followed by dancing. Abe & I were glad to go out for dinner & Magnus is always enjoys checking out somewhere new.

We had a nice time at Granite City Brewery & after eating the votes were in to go out to Club David for dancing. As we had Magnus along we needed to make quick arrangements for a babysitter (a huge deal for me since we’ve never left him with one). R’s little boy had a sitter & she agreed to watch Magnus too. We dropped him off; after a quick feeding, diaper change & clean jammies…. He was playing quite happily with a pair of pacifiers when we snuck out the door.

SWEET FREEDOM!

As we drove toward the club we discussed ditching my brother to go see a movie in the theater or heading home for some uninterrupted sleep. Although we were tempted our Jeep was soon parked near the club. Walking along the sidewalk, Abe reached for my hand & laced his fingers through mine. It was the first time in 10 months there wasn’t a baby between us. We sauntered into the club, presented ID & met up with the rest of the party.

The music was pumpin’, videos playing on flat screens scattered throughout the room and lights flashing off the dark red walls. The décor was very nice. Beautiful dark red/maroon walls with clean white accents on the pillars & around the ceiling, random statues & framed photos of Michaelangelo’s David and strings of lights around the bar.

Other than our group of ten there were few people in Club David when we arrived. There were a couple of 60 something men sitting at the bar doing some serious drinking, a 50 something lady with crazy person hair (think electroshock) & bib overalls and a couple of girls in their mid to late 20s. A rather motley crew for a gay bar (or at least it used to be).

Drinks were ordered (a beer for Abe & a cranberry juice for me) and the few of us who like to dance hit the floor. R, my brother D & his wife Z and I were enjoying ourselves…in the groove and having a good time. As R cut loose on the floor two girls started dancing closer & closer to him. Pretty soon they were bumping & grinding on R…and his face showed more than a little dismay. He slipped away as graciously as possible & made a beeline for his wife who was standing on the edge of the dance floor. Meanwhile we kept dancing, chatting & having a good time.

Soon R was back on the floor with us & a Britney song was on… (sorry, bad pop culture reference). Not only did the two girls quickly join us but they wasted no time in once again getting all up in R’s business. This time one of them decided that a quick grope was in order. R jumped about a foot in the air, screeched in horror & RAN off the dance floor. I nearly collapsed I was laughing so hard. After his groping R would no longer dance unless his back was securely against the wall. Somehow the two girls didn’t get the message that R is quite happily taken (how they missed the wild & disturbing (to me) public displays of affection between R & J I will never know).

Anyway, the crowd was starting to grow & the people watching entertainment grew exponentially. A group of 3 men came in & grabbed a table in the back. There was nothing to call attention to them at first…then we noticed that one member was “Hipster Gay Man”. It wasn’t that he was gay but rather the tragically hip air & clothes that offended me. Classic dark hipster glasses, shirt & tie and the clincher—skinny white linen “man-pris” (you’ve probably never heard of them). No I’m not kidding…it was hilarious & sad all at the same time.

All in all it was an entertaining night out & one that we will hopefully repeat if we can find a babysitter.

Easter weekend found us traveling. We spent a large portion of the weekend visiting family near Duluth. It was SO good to see them & the time was far too short. Still it was fun & Easter Sunday was a warm, sunny day. Indeed a day to celebrate life.

Our time up north had to end so we said our goodbyes to the niece & nephews and headed for home. We decided that it was early enough in the day that we could take the time to stop & visit Abe’s mom. Originally we had not planned on a trip to the Cities but travel was going well & I’m not supposed to sit for too long (Dr’s orders). Abe’s mom was pleasantly surprised when we stopped by. Magnus was all dressed up in his Easter shirt & a bunny hat. Being the charming little boy that he is Magnus crawled around & showed off all his best tricks.

As we were getting ready to leave my MIL mentioned that she had something for us. Thinking that it was some small Easter trinket for Magnus I happily accepted the plastic sack. Then came the explanation.

“Here’s the jar of alfredo sauce that we’ll never eat. Mike bought it but I don’t like this brand so you can have it. Also, here are the vanilla beans we bought in Mexico” (side note: I won’t even go into why I got beans rather than pure extract.)

I thanked MIL for the vanilla beans as I will find a use for them. I was very pleased to have the beans…I’m experimenting with being an actual cook after all. So I’m thinking this is it when MIL pipes up again.

“Oh and there’s also a jar of mayonnaise…it’s a little out of date but I’m sure it will be fine. It hasn’t even been opened yet so just be sure to use it up quickly.”

I stood there, mouth agape for a minute while I searched for the words that would allow me to decline the mayonnaise. After opening & closing my mouth a couple times (without making any intelligible sounds), I weakly said “Ummm, thanks”.

Seriously how do you politely decline the unexpected gift of expired mayo? I could really have used Emily Post’s advice on the matter. Unfortunately she isn’t around to help me out.

Too bad I don’t have some slightly questionable Easter eggs that need to be used…I could make egg salad or deviled eggs. Anybody want to play salmonella roulette this weekend? Party is at my house.

I’m trying to gather my strength today & recover from yesterday. I don’t know if I had the stomach flu or some mild food poisoning but it wasn’t pretty. The day started out fine. Magnus woke up his usual smiley self & we got his breakfast underway. I sat with him & we chatted while he had his Cheerios & milk. Although it is jabber, Magnus loves to chatter away & have someone answer him back.

After breakfast we played with toys & watched some Word World on PBS (I love the show cuz of the spelling & Magnus loves the animals). Magnus got sleepy around 11:30 so I put him down for a nap & decided that I’d fix myself a salad. Nothing fancy, just some romaine lettuce, a little cheese & some salad dressing. I was hungry & since I eat 5-12 meals a day I dug right in. Then when Magnus got up from his nap I fixed him some chicken & put some on my second helping of salad.

I was feeling so smart. Getting my leafy green veggies in early. I’m terrible about vegetables…fruit no problem but I just never seem to have the veggies I should. Serves me right…since yesterday afternoon I have felt awful. We’re talking dead donkey awful. Stomach ache, nausea etc. Like I said; it hasn’t been pretty.

So I’ve learned a valuable lesson: leave the leafy greens to the sub sandwich (spinach is the best!) and forget trying to have a salad at home. It’s just not worth being this ill.

**Author’s note: I’m sort of kidding…we’ll see how I feel tomorrow.**

On Friday a milestone was reached…mostly nobody noticed except a few close family & friends. They woke up, looked at their calendars & decided that it was a good time to haul out the jet packs for the commute to work & school. What the rest of the world was blissfully unaware of was that G-man had turned 15.

So what you think; lots of kids turn 15 every day. What makes this what’s-his-face special?

There are a lot of things that make G-man special. He was an uncle at age 7. Now that he’s 15 he is an uncle 8 times over. He is the youngest of 8 kids. His siblings sometimes have a really hard time remembering he is so young—they’ve treated him as part of the gang since he was born. In spite of having much older siblings, G-man managed to retain his childhood…that means he’s a pretty okay kid. He doesn’t really get into trouble like some kids you hear about these days. You know the ones; those kids hanging out with “the wrong crowd”. G-man often feels sorry for those kids…”If only they had parents who were around & siblings & whatnot”. After all G-man knows the parents can’t always help not being there but he also knows that many times the parents are too busy to pay attention.

G-man is very independent. He has always been able to go out with the big kids…he didn’t like to be left behind. In fact, he’s been known to stow away in his dad’s van & sneak into town. See, G-man lives in the country & his dad volunteers at the teen activity center in the next town over. G-man likes to go along with his dad & hang out; sometimes they would shoot hoops (well sometimes they still do). Anyway, G-man really wanted to go with his dad one Saturday night. Dad said G-man should stay home & get some rest. G-man appealed to Mom but she agreed with Dad. G-man was upset & stalked out of the house. His mom & Dad let him go…he’s a pretty okay kid in the country after all. Well G-man’s dad headed into town & G-man’s mom thought it was time to eat some supper (dinner is for city people…or what country people eat at noon). When supper was ready—about 15 minutes later; G-man’s mom called out the door. She waited & then called again, “G-man you better be in here, hands washed in the next 5 minutes or you are going to be in SO much trouble”! Time passed & G-man’s mom decided it was time to call G-man’s dad.

Meanwhile, G-man had gotten so angry he stalked off across the yard & hid behind the shed for awhile. That wasn’t much fun though & he decided he’d hide out in his dad’s van. Quietly G-man snuck his bike into the back of the van, climbed in after it & closed the door. Soon G-man’s dad hopped in the van & went flying off down the gravel in a cloud of dust. G-man stayed hidden & quiet. He waited until the van stopped & he heard his dad get out. After a few minutes he cautiously peeked out, saw he was in the clear & hopped out with his bike. So while G-man’s mom was calling him to supper he was happily wheeling around Danesville. G-man was feeling pretty pleased with himself—not only had he gotten to go with Dad but he’d also gotten to go when he’d been told no.

While G-man was enjoying his adventure he lost track of time. Riding around Danesville is fun when you are off riding your bike. It’s big enough for a nice ride but not so big as to get lost. Suddenly G-man noticed that the air was a little chilly & that it was getting quite dark out. Now G-man isn’t a sissy but being alone when Mom & Dad don’t know where you are stops being fun in the dark. Thinking about how he was supposed to stay home & had disobeyed made G-man worried. ”I’m going to be in SO much trouble. Dad is gonna kick my butt when they figure out what I did”, G-man thought. So to avoid the dire consequences of his imagination (no supper for a week, twice as many chores for a month & not being allowed out of the house for the rest of his life) G-man decided he should hide.

Hiding in the dark alone is scary though so he thought he should find a safe, sheltered place to go. After some careful thought he turned his bike around and rode up the main street in Danesville. In fact he rode straight up to the yard of his pastor. He leaned his bike against the big oak tree on the front lawn & curled up beside the solid trunk.

Now Pastor’s Wife had gotten a phone call earlier saying that G-man was missing & that his parents thought he’d snuck into town. She had promised to keep an eye out for him…lo & behold she happened to see his little figure slide into her front yard. Quickly she called G-man’s mom & dad before going outside to collect a very tired & scared 7 year old boy.

So now eight years have passed & that scared little boy is taking driver’s education training. That’s right—he’s learning to drive. He’s still a pretty okay kid. Sometimes he is a total teenager & gets that stubborn teenage set to his jaw. His hair is often a little longer than his mom would like. He listens to loud music that his dad doesn’t like at all. G-man’s siblings are often surprised when they think about his age…after all they forget he’s still a kid most of the time. However all of them are proud of him & love him dearly…. but none of them are going anywhere near the roads for awhile….

I can’t believe that Magnus will be 4 months old before this month is out. He has grown a lot & we have a lot of fun. He coos & chatters to me when we are doing stuff around the house. He has the best smile! I’ve also gotten some real, honest-to-mergatroid, laughs over the last few days.

Magnus loves to watch the ceiling fan in our bedroom. He will get so engrossed in watching it go around that his eyes get all googly & roll around. He is also fascinated watching shadows, the reflection of any shiny surface on the ceiling and anything he can get in his grasp.

We’ve had some tough days too. We have had a few days with vomiting…projectile type. Not sure if Magnus had a little bug or if it was something I ate. He is doing fine now though. The other thing he’s got going on is teething. Yep, he’s working on his bottom eye teeth already. I’m already not a fan of this! Orajel is our friend!! It helps when Magnus is feeling the most punky.

We are all getting decent sleep. Magnus usually only gets up once at night sometime between 3-4 am. He then snuggles in bed with us. I’ve tried to have him sleep in his nursery twice. The first night he slept in there until the middle of the night feeding time. The second night he went down in his crib but I brought him into our room (his bassinet is still in there) before I could fall asleep. Maybe I will try again in a few weeks. One thing I know is we will need a baby monitor for sure…one that picks up the noise Magnus makes & not a static-y radio station. (That was a lesson in FAIL—we bought a mid-range monitor & couldn’t hear anything Magnus did even when he was in full screaming mode.)

In spite of the knack for vomiting on me at completely random & most unfortunate times we enjoy everything Magnus does. Mostly I’m incredibly blessed to have a happy, healthy baby.
